Where do I go from here?

So I am sick again... Boo-urns, but that has not shut off my happy switch, which is good! I don't know if my current illness has to do more with the prescription that I just finished (like I have no more digestive bacteria and my body is angry) or what but all I know is that it hurts a lot and anything I eat or drink is in and out of one orifice or another before I know it (eww yucky details I know!)

Stuff with le boyfriend is still complicated, but he is making a real effort so I am not going to write him off just yet!

Now with the mini-storm that has been my life lately one question keeps popping up "Where do I go from here?" I am leaving Paris in August (lil tear) this much is certain, but what am I going to do with my life? I know that I want to go back and get my Masters degree (I have a BA in Political Science) but that is a goal that I may not be able to reach without some serious experience. Now I am thinking right now that I would like to work with development (ie developing countries) and policy and I would love to get a job or an internship with an NGO or even the government next year, but I don't know how to go about doing that. I need a grown up job (for my sanity as well... I am too overqualified to be a nanny!) But where do I start? I have no idea...


Any suggestions?

I can't even find myself a new job so I am sorry, I've got nothing. But the foreign affairs thing sounds good. Would you look into that in Canada or stay in France?

100th Post

So I had hoped to make this a momentous occasion, but nothing momentous really popped up, so I am going to talk about something that has really irked me. I have spoken before about how much I love my family, they are the most important people in the world to me. When something is happening with one of them it really gets to me. ESPECIALLY when in indirectly involves me! Here's the deal; I have an Uncle who is an alcoholic. My Dad's side of the family all suffer from certain degrees of alcoholism (with the exception of my Dad who doesn't drink at all) but none as badly as this particular Uncle. He has a habit of getting trashed and ripping a strip off of people and breaking down crying while blaming EVERYONE for his problems, you know typical alcoholic behavior. Oh man I go away for a few days and everything changes! Hallie's blog looks all spiffy and Vegas Princess' blog won't let me read! I must say I was quite saddened by the latter of those two (invite me! I am now addicted... you can't take away my Vegas fix!!!;) ) I am also kind of sad because I am eating some California rolls and they SUCK! Boo French sushi! In other news I just got back from London. It was fun and I got to see Paddigton Bear and Platform 9 3/4. (Yes I am that big of a loser... here's photographic proof) I also saw all the other stuff like Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, so all in all it was a good, but expensive holiday. I can't believe that two weeks today I will wake up in my own bed! That's right I leave Paris on August 6 th , that's just under two weeks away!
