New addition

That's right I have been keeping something from you.  I have been in the process of adding another member to my family.  I have been waiting until things were certain before I told people.




That's right, I've bought a horse. 

Her name is Kassandra, she'll be 4 this year.  She's a Selle Francais (French warmblood) and Thoughoubred cross.  I am actually still a bit stunned that this has actually happened. 

I didn't think that I'd buy another horse after the death of my last mare two years ago.  But I felt ready and I was lucky enough to have this horse in the barn that I ride at and she was for sale!  So the stars aligned and I am once again the proud owner of another horse.

She is beautiful! I am so happy for you! I can't believe it has been 2 years since your mare died. It feels like it just happened. What a wonderful way to carry on your love for horses and riding. Congrats!

I have been feeling very low lately, so low in fact that I have had trouble doing anything. I can't even write about it. My Wedding May Kill Me

Okay so whoever said "oh wedding planning must be so fun!" is an idiot. Do I sound bitter??? Well maybe that's because I am at that point of working with the wedding planner and she says "and here's how much this will cost." The total is $20,000! I nearly wanted to throw up! How the hell am I going to afford a $20,000 wedding? I mean I know that that's not a lot of money for a wedding (my cousin's cost $60,000) but seriously. I was looking forward to a honeymoon, but now that's out the window. I am not even getting anything too fancy! WTF? I know that all the married people out there know what I am going through and will know that at this point the LEAST helpful thing people can say to me is "oh well maybe you can not do this and do that." I always just want to say "f*#k you! Was I there trying to get you to compromise your wedding to save a few bucks?" I know that I need to cut costs, but seriously I am not spending a lot of ...

Because My Last Post Was So Negative

Yes last post I was a total Debbie-downer. I had a lot going on and I just had a bit of a meltdown. Rest assured things are fine now. My fiance and I have been doing a great job of listening to each other and are actually quite happy! :) We had a great weekend working on the yard and swimming in our pool (for the first time!) So here are a few pics of my Kitty and random flowers in the Garden. Hey I just thought that we could have some happy pics today and don't forget about Hallie 's fundraiser. After just a few days she has raised over $1000! Let's help her reach her goal in record time! :)
