Post # 99

So today was the day of MJ's memorial. I am sorry to say that I am NOT a fan of all the hype his death is getting. I understand his place in music history and how great an influence he was, but for the love of goodness do they have to air it on every freaking channel! I do not want to watch it and I am mad that it is preempting the shows I did want to watch! Frack! The worst part is that this is not done! It will be on the news for weeks!

In other news I just got back from a great five day vacation to Toronto and my future in-law's cottage. It was just nice to get out of the daily routine. We managed to see a lot of people too. In Toronto we saw my cousin, two of my friends from Vancouver, the nanny who took over for me in Paris and most of le fiance's friends. We also managed to get bridesmaid gifts, our wedding bands (ordered anyway) and Thank You cards. So all in all it was a very productive trip!

At the cottage we had such a nice time hanging out with my future in-laws and niece and nephews. My future sisters-in-law bought me this cute cute hoodie from Victoria Secret




The weather was also great which meant that we got to spend time on the lake




It's hard to find pictures without people's faces! It was nice to have some sun finally and I even got a little bit of heat stroke.

Next post is # 100, I feel like I should do something momentous for the occasion, but I am at a loss. I can't do a giveaway because I am SOOOO beyond broke that I couldn't afford shipping let alone a prize (plus as soon as I have disposable income I am donating to Hallie's fundraiser.)
So I want to know if you guys have any suggestions. Or maybe you have questions about me or my blog that you have always wanted answered? I don't know. Help me! :)

You have 26 days left to donate to my fundraiser but if you can't do NOT worry about it. You do what you can. :)

As far as post #100, I think you should do whatever you want. Maybe share something with us that we don't already know. Or share some of your hopes for your first year of marriage.

Just share. You don't have to give something away to make your 100th post memorable.

Just be yourself....that's what will make it awesome.

Oh, and tell me which Muppet you would marry if you HAD TO MARRY A MUPPET and why!!

Only do a giveaway if you want to give something away - I just give my clothes that don't fit, usually new. Or jewelry that's super cheap. You could do a contest and then when you HAVE the number, you can give something away.

I don't know what else, I didn't celebrate any of my posts until my three-year blogging anniversary, or my #500 post. If I didn't do a giveaway, I would have just reflected on the year...you could do that. A month of by month recap of when you started the blog till now...that might be nice!

Nothing marriage-centric though! YUCK! I've got so many damn weddings to go to, I'm getting burnt out. This age sucks and I'm starting to think I don't wanna get married because it all seems like such a hassle to my friends, LOL!

A break from the routine.. nice. That hoodie from VS.. lol.. i have seen so many in Vegas.. it's almost mandatory for soon to be brides!

I'm getting so so sick of the MJ madness too, can't we just move on now? Does anybody care if he was the biological father or not? Gah!!

So sick of MJ because I have to deal with it every day at work. Gah! Enough already!

One of my bridesmaids made me a hoodie that has my wedding date on the front and on the back it said "So-to-be-blank" I wore it while I got my hair and makeup done on the big day! :)

For your 100th post do whatever you want. It is your blog! And don't think you have to give something away. We love you even without gifts. :) But this does remind me I have still to send you your prize from my giveaway! :) Do I have your current address?

LOVE your hoodie. How cute. And it sounds like wedding plans are coming along nicely. I remember doing this just a little over a year ago myself. It goes so fast! Enjoy it. Take lots of pictures of all your activities (showers, parties, etc) and make sure to make time to take care of yourself. A wedding can become a beast if you're not careful. I can't wait to live vicariously through you again!!

100th Post

So I had hoped to make this a momentous occasion, but nothing momentous really popped up, so I am going to talk about something that has really irked me. I have spoken before about how much I love my family, they are the most important people in the world to me. When something is happening with one of them it really gets to me. ESPECIALLY when in indirectly involves me! Here's the deal; I have an Uncle who is an alcoholic. My Dad's side of the family all suffer from certain degrees of alcoholism (with the exception of my Dad who doesn't drink at all) but none as badly as this particular Uncle. He has a habit of getting trashed and ripping a strip off of people and breaking down crying while blaming EVERYONE for his problems, you know typical alcoholic behavior. Oh man I go away for a few days and everything changes! Hallie's blog looks all spiffy and Vegas Princess' blog won't let me read! I must say I was quite saddened by the latter of those two (invite me! I am now addicted... you can't take away my Vegas fix!!!;) ) I am also kind of sad because I am eating some California rolls and they SUCK! Boo French sushi! In other news I just got back from London. It was fun and I got to see Paddigton Bear and Platform 9 3/4. (Yes I am that big of a loser... here's photographic proof) I also saw all the other stuff like Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, so all in all it was a good, but expensive holiday.
